Williams rushed 22 times for 69 yards while adding one reception for 26 yards in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win over Seattle.
Analysis
Williams had to earn his yardage Sunday in churning out just 69 rushing yards on 22 carries. A long reception helped alleviate what would have been a rough fantasy day on the ground. The 23-year-old remains a strong fantasy play with 718 total yards and 10 touchdowns through eight games this season. Williams continues to serve as the primary back for the Rams heading into a Week 10 matchup against Miami next Monday.
Williams rushed 23 times for 97 yards and secured five of seven targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.
Analysis
Williams once again shouldered the bulk of the Rams' ground work, with backup Blake Corum logging only four carries. While he fell just short of his second 100-yard effort of the campaign, Williams set a new season high in receptions and recorded his second receiving touchdown of 2024 on a five-yard catch in the first quarter that opened his team's scoring on the night. The fact Williams recorded a season-high 28 touches despite the returns of both Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) was certainly encouraging, and the third-year back should once again be a pivotal figure during the Rams' Week 9 road NFC West clash against the Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Williams took 21 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 20-15 win over Las Vegas.
Analysis
Williams was the star on offense for the Rams while scoring both of his team's touchdowns en route to victory. The 2023 breakout star has continued his success from last season, scoring at least one touchdown in every game so far this season. Williams' nine combined trips to the end zone brought him into a tie with the Ravens' Derrick Henry for the league lead in touchdowns. The 23-year-old Williams faces a stiff test against Minnesota's defense on a short week this Thursday, but he remains a top fantasy option in every format.
Williams rushed the ball 22 times for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Packers.
Analysis
Williams has one of the most stable workloads in the league, and that was on display Sunday as he topped 20 carries for the second time in his last three games. He also kept his touchdown streak alive with a one-yard touchdown plunge early in the second quarter, and he now has seven total touchdowns and at least one trip to the end zone in each game. While volume is the primary driver of Williams' fantasy value, he did add in a splash play with a 30-yard run midway through the first quarter -- his longest gain of the season and first gain of at least 20 yards.
Williams rushed 19 times for 94 yards and a touchdown and brought in all four targets for 10 yards in the Rams' 24-18 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Analysis
Despite the loss, the game never got away from the Rams, so Williams was able to log a typically robust workload that resulted in a season high in rushing yards. He also tied his high-water mark in receptions, and he found the end zone for the sixth time overall in the first four games via a three-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter. The third-year back has at least 18 carries in three of his first four contests, and he'll resume his quest for his first 100-yard game of the campaign when he faces a vulnerable Packers front in a Week 5 home matchup.
Williams rushed 24 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns while adding 27 yards and a third score on two receptions in Sunday's 27-24 win over San Francisco.
Analysis
Williams pounded in his third and fourth rushing touchdowns of the season in the Rams' first win of 2024. Los Angeles' lead back ceded just two touches to backup Ronnie Rivers, further cementing his status as a fantasy stud given the Rams' current lack of superstars on offense. Williams should be an automatic fantasy start ahead of a Week 4 matchup against Chicago.
Williams rushed 12 times for 25 yards and a touchdown while catching four of five targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis
Williams led the Rams in touches for the second week in a row, scoring his second touchdown in as many games. The antithesis of a silver lining is that Williams is averaging just 2.5 yards per tote through two games. On top of that, rookie backup Blake Corum chipped into the 2023 fantasy breakout's workload with eight carries for 28 yards after being a healthy scratch in Week 1. Sunday's blowout nature affected the shift in touch distribution between the Rams' top two running backs, as most of Corum's touches came after the team's starters were pulled. Williams remains the preferred fantasy option heading into a tough Week 3 matchup against the 49ers on Sunday.
Williams rushed 18 times for 50 yards and a touchdown while catching all three targets for four receiving yards in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Lions.
Analysis
Williams struggled on a per-touch basis (2.6 yards) in his first game following his 2023 breakout campaign. The positive news for the 23-year-old's fantasy managers was that one of his 21 combined touches hit pay dirt in addition to his domination of the backfield touches Sunday. Backup Ronnie Rivers saw two carries while rookie sleeper Blake Corum surprisingly did not see the field in a game during which the Rams lost a primary offensive weapon in Puka Nacua (knee). It appears Williams is in no threat of losing his status as a starter for both the Rams and fantasy GMs this season.
Williams is expected to operate as the Rams' punt returner to open the 2024 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis
Williams is coming off of a rather productive second professional season, registering 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns on 228 carries while also adding 32 catches for 206 yards and three more scores over 12 contests in 2023. In regards to him operating as a punt returner in 2024, head coach Sean McVay believes that having the ball in the running back's hands more often is a good thing, saying that "it's another opportunity for him to get touches and impact the game." Williams is competing with rookie Blake Corum and Ronnie Rivers for touches out of the backfield with Los Angeles this season, though Williams currently is the clear-cut No. 1 option for the team.
