Schultz caught all four of his targets for 63 yards in Saturday's 23-14 divisional-round loss to Kansas City.
Analysis
The veteran tight end was on the other end of C.J. Stroud's longest completion of the day, a 34-yard connection on the Texans' first possession that helped set up a field goal. Schultz suited up for every game in 2024, the first time he'd accomplished that since he was a Cowboy in 2021, but even with the Texans dealing with a number of injuries to their wide receiver room, he didn't see an increase in his production of target volume. He posted a 53-532-2 line on 85 targets over 17 regular-season contests before adding six catches for 86 yards on eight targets over two postseason appearances. Schultz has two years and $22 million left on his current contract, and given the middling impact he made in 2024, it's possible the Texans consider making him a cap casualty this offseason.
Schultz (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Chiefs.
Analysis
After being deemed limited Tuesday and Wednesday, Schultz practiced fully Thursday, paving the way for him to lead Houston's tight end corps in the team's second postseason contest. In last weekend's 32-12 wild-card win over the Chargers, Schultz -- who logged a 53-532-2 receiving line in 17 regular-season outings -- caught two of his four targets for 23 yards.
Schultz (shoulder) remained a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Analysis
Following a pair of limited sessions to begin the week, Schultz may need to practice fully Thursday in order to avoid an injury designation for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Chiefs. With Cade Stover (collarbone) having been placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Irv Smith is next up behind Schultz on the Texans' depth chart at tight end. Teagan Quitoriano (calf) -- who remains on injured reserve -- has been practicing fully this week and could be activated ahead of the weekend to bolster depth at the position.

Schultz (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice.
Analysis
The veteran tight end has been relatively healthy this season, and it's the first time he's been listed as limited on a practice report since September. Schultz played 73 percent of the offensive snaps in last Saturday's wild-card win over the Chargers, securing two of his four targets for 23 yards. Rookie TE Cade Stover (undisclosed), was placed on injured reserve earlier Tuesday, which could lead to a little more volume for Schultz in the divisional round against Kansas City.

Schultz recorded two receptions on four targets or 23 yards in Saturday's 32-12 win over the Chargers.
Analysis
Nico Collins and John Metchie accounted for half of the targets from C.J. Stroud, leaving limited volume for the rest of Houston's pass catchers. Even taking that into account, Schultz's performance was disappointing, particularly considering that Cade Stover matched his four targets and outgained him. Schultz now has fewer than 30 receiving yards in four of his last five games.
Schultz recorded three catches on three targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Titans.
Analysis
Schultz played throughout the first half, well after most of the top Texans' skill-position players were rested. His longest catch went for 13 yards on Houston's first possession, and he concludes the season with 532 yards -- his lowest yardage total since 2019. However, Schultz has remained a consistent target earner, as he's topped 50 receptions in six straight campaigns, and he should retain a peripheral role in the Houston offense in a likely matchup with the Chargers in the first round of the playoffs.
Schultz recorded two receptions for 21 yards on six targets in Wednesday's 31-2 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis
Schultz was coming off his best fantasy performance of the season in Week 16 (5-45-1 receiving line on eight targets), but he followed the big outing up with a Christmas Day dud. The veteran tight end has experienced a downward trend in production in his second season with Houston, carrying a mediocre 50-503-2 receiving line while starting all 16 of the Texans' games in 2024. Schultz will look to finish the regular season on a high note when the Texans visit the Titans next weekend.
Schultz caught five of eight targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-19 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis
Schultz finished second on the team in targets behind Nico Collins (10), and Schultz will likely work as the team's second option in the passing game moving forward, as wide receiver Tank Dell exited due to a serious knee injury. The tight end scored his second touchdown of the season on a 10-yard catch in the second quarter. Both of those scores have come in the last three games after Schultz started the season on a 12-game touchdown drought. Schultz's arrow is pointing up ahead of a Christmas matchup with the Ravens.
Schultz secured two of four targets for 13 yards in the Texans' 20-12 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Analysis
Schultz was a bit player in the air attack, although with C.J. Stroud throwing for only 131 yards on the afternoon, the veteran tight end was hardly the only Texan with modest numbers. Schultz came into game with a pair of five-catch tallies in the previous three games, but he remains a complementary option even in games when Stroud has a lot more success through the air.
