Smith-Njigba had eight receptions on 12 targets for 95 yards and a touchdown while taking his lone carry for five yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to Minnesota.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba combined his rushing and receiving totals to reach 100 yards from scrimmage in addition to scoring his sixth touchdown of the season. The second-year pro has been a second-half sensation for fantasy managers, averaging 7.0 receptions and 96.3 receiving yards over his last eight contests. Despite the loss, it has become apparent that Seattle wants to build its offense around JSN and a talented group of starting wideouts. Smith-Njigba will look to stay red-hot in Week 17 on Thursday against a Bears defense that sits in the bottom third of the league in terms of yards allowed to opposing passing attacks.
Smith-Njigba corralled 10 of 12 targets for 83 receiving yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba was the lone bright spot among Seattle receivers Sunday, leading the team in every notable category by a large margin. The sophomore standout has quietly become the top wideout for a team boasting two proven veterans at the position. Smith-Njigba has generated at least 69 yards of offense over his last seven contests with four touchdowns scored over that span. Continue riding the hot hand down the stretch as the Seahawks prepare to host the Vikings next Sunday.
Smith-Njigba brought in all five of his targets for 82 yards and a touchdown while adding four rushing yards on one attempt in Sunday's 30-18 win over Arizona.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba finished as the Seahawks' leading receiver despite finishing third in targets Sunday. The budding sophomore cashed in Seattle's lone passing touchdown while setting a new high in season scores (five). Smith-Njigba has been white-hot in the second half of the schedule, averaging yards 101.5 yards from scrimmage with four total touchdowns over his last six contests. Fantasy managers should feel confident starting JSN as the Seahawks prepare to face the Packers next Sunday.
Smith-Njigba caught all four of his targets for 74 yards and added a five-yard run in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Jets.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba had a pair of 25-yard receptions in the first half while no teammate had more than 16 first-half receiving yards. He added a 24-yard reception to convert on fourth down on the final play of the third quarter. Despite his modest volume in this game, Smith-Njigba continued a torrid stretch that has seen him record 441 receiving yards and three touchdowns over the past four games. Those totals include 77 yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals, whom JSN will face again in Week 14.
Smith-Njigba caught six of seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-6 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis
It was another big performance for the second-year wideout, as even in rainy conditions, he led the Seahawks in receiving while grabbing the game's only offensive TD on a three-yard catch in the second quarter. Over the last four games, Smith-Njigba has delivered a 29-436-3 line on 38 targets, and even with DK Metcalf healthy, the younger receiver may be emerging as Seattle's top downfield threat. Smith-Njigba will look to catch six or more passes for a fifth straight game in Week 13 against the Jets.
Smith-Njigba brought in 10 of 11 targets for 110 yards while taking his lone carry for eight yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the 49ers.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba stayed hot out of Seattle's Week 10 bye with his third 100-plus yard performance of the season. The 2023 first-round pick is hitting his stride mid-season for the 5-5 Seahawks while providing a couple of monster receiving lines for fantasy managers. Continue to ride Smith-Njigba in Week 12 as the Seahawks prepare to host the Cardinals next Sunday.
Smith-Njigba finished with seven receptions (on 13 targets) for 180 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba produced his finest stat line as a pro despite his team taking the loss Sunday. It was the sophomore's first game with two touchdowns while recording over 100 receiving yards. Smith-Njigba will enter Seattle's bye week with a respectable 50-568-3 receiving line across nine games, setting up a Nov. 17 matchup against San Francisco in Week 11.
Smith-Njigba brought in six of seven targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Bills.
Analysis
Unlike last week's lopsided win that resulted in single-digit yardage for Smith-Njigba, this week's loss saw the Seahawks throw the ball for nearly the entire second half. The result was a stronger performance for the sophomore wideout despite his team taking a nasty loss. Smith-Njigba has seen his role increase in his second year as a pro, providing a 43/388/1 receiving line through eight games.
Smith-Njigba brought in three of six targets for nine yards in the Seahawks' 34-14 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Analysis
Smith-Njigba was held to the second-lowest yardage total of his career by a Falcons defense that has been doing a good job keeping plays in front of it all season. The profoundly disappointing showing followed a relatively encouraging stretch of games for the second-year pro, who'd posted a 32-291-1 line on 47 targets in his previous five games. Given the atypical nature of his numbers Sunday, Smith-Njigba shapes up as a prime candidate for a bounce-back performance against the Bills at home in Week 8, especially if DK Metcalf is limited or sidelined by the knee injury that forced his exit from Sunday's game.
