The Seahawks placed Walker (ankle) on injured reserve Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Analysis
Walker already was ruled out for Thursday's game at Chicago due to an ankle injury that he sustained in the second half of this past Sunday's loss to the Vikings, but he'll now be out Week 18 and for any playoff matchups that Seattle would have before the NFC Championship Game, assuming the team qualifies and makes it that far. In the meantime, Zach Charbonnet will pace the Seahawks backfield while Kenny McIntosh backs him up.

Walker (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game at Chicago, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis
Walker returned from a two-game absence due to a calf injury this past Sunday against the Vikings, but he suffered an ankle issue in the second half and finished Week 16 with 16 touches for 59 yards from scrimmage. Now that the Seahawks have made a decision on his availability for Week 17 action, Walker again will hand off the Seahawks backfield to Zach Charbonnet, who reeled off 259 total yards and three rushing touchdowns on 38 touches when Walker was out Weeks 14 and 15.

The Seahawks estimated Walker (ankle) as a non-participant during Tuesday's walk-through practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis
Walker was a spectator for the team's second walkthrough of the week after tweaking his ankle in Seattle's 27-24 loss to Minnesota on Sunday. The running back could be in danger of missing his fifth game of the season this Thursday in Chicago. if that's the case, Zach Charbonnet (elbow) -- who was listed as a full participant Tuesday -- could be tasked with handling a three-down role in Week 17.

The Seahawks estimated Walker (ankle) as a non-practice participant Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis
Seattle didn't actually practice Monday, but it's no surprise that the team indicated that Walker wouldn't have participated if a session had taken place given that he needed an MRI for an ankle injury he suffered Sunday versus Minnesota. Per Henderson, head coach Mike Macdonald had no update on Walker on Monday aside from stating that the running back is getting tests done and that the team will "have a good idea of what it looks like over the next day or two." If Walker can't suit up Thursday versus Chicago, Zach Charbonnet would likely take over as Seattle's lead back, though Charbonnet was deemed a limited participant Monday due to an elbow issue.

Walker will need imaging to determine the severity of the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings, coach Mike McDonald said after the game, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis
Walker exited in what had been his return from a two-game absence due to a calf injury. Even if the imaging reveals good news, Walker will be hard-pressed to recover on a short week for Thursday's game against the Bears. Zach Charbonnet would be in line for a heavy workload if Walker's unable to face Chicago.

Walker (calf) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Minnesota, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis
Walker returned to full practice participation Thursday and now figures to return to his role as Seattle's lead runner, although it's possible he gets less work than usual, given that it's his first game back from a two-week absence in which Zach Charbonnet filled in more than capably. That said, Walker has been the clear top RB whenever healthy this season, sometimes getting more snaps than Charbonnet on passing downs as well.
Walker (calf) practiced fully Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis
In his first official on-field work since Wednesday, Dec. 4, Walker was uninhibited, while fellow RB Zach Charbonnet (oblique) followed up Wednesday's absence with a limited session one day later. Walker thus seems poised to retake the reins of the Seahawks backfield Sunday against the Vikings. In his 10 appearances this season, he's averaged 18.3 touches for 81.3 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring eight total TDs.
Walker (calf) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis
Walker is seeking his first practice reps since Dec. 4 as he continues with his recovery from a calf injury that has sidelined him the last two games. Fellow running back Zach Charbonnet also didn't practice Wednesday due to an oblique issue, so Kenny McIntosh currently is the healthiest member of the backfield on the Seahawks' active roster. Practices on Thursday and Friday likely will be telling for who among the trio may be the team's primary runner Sunday versus the Vikings.
