After a Week 16 win over the Jaguars, the Las Vegas Raiders bumped back to the sixth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders sit at three wins on the season with two games to go, and those last games still can do a lot to muddy the order of the first round. Four other teams share the Raiders’ 3-12 record, while the Giants currently have the top pick in the draft at 2-13.
We don’t know how the last few weeks of the season will go, and we also do not know how the draft is going to shake up over the next few months. Prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, we had reliable NFL draft analysts saying Malik Willis was going to be the number two overall pick. He ended up sliding all the way to pick 86. We see these slides all the time, not because the players get worse between November and April, but because no one outside of those NFL rooms knows exactly how boards stack up this early in the process.
So, let’s do our best and run a mock draft using MockDraftDatabase.com. As usual I will do my best to stick around the consensus big board and execute no trades.
Round 1: Shedeur Sanders, QB – Colorado
It’s a Christmas miracle! It looks like the Week 16 win didn’t impact anything at all in this mock. It’s not that crazy to think Sanders might be there at pick number six. There seems to be some difference of opinion when it comes to Shedeur Sanders. Some people, like most in the media, believe he’s the surefire number one overall pick. At the same time, we’ve seen reports start leaking out that the Giants might prefer Miami’s Cam Ward.
Sanders had an incredible 2024 season and is in the 100th percentile in our Accuracy metric and the Raiders are looking to find a new starting quarterback. Neither Gardner Minshew nor Aidan O’Connell cracked above the 50th percentile in our AI Passing grade.
Round 2: Wyatt Milum, OT – West Virginia
Las Vegas could use some help on the offensive line to protect their new quarterback. They ranked 26th in pressure % according to FTN. However, the Raiders offensive line isn’t far away from being very solid. Andre James, Kolton Miller and Jordan Meredith have all been good this season. Rookie offensive linemen, DJ Glaze and Jackson Powers-Johnson have struggled at times, but that’s to be expected from rookie lineman. The only Raiders lineman to be hitting unrestricted free agency this offseason is Cody Whitehair, who only started three games for Vegas.
Wyatt Milum has played both left and right tackle for West Virginia and he’s in the 92nd percentile or better in both our AI Run Blocking and Pass Blocking metrics.
Round 3: Donovan Ezeiruaka, ED – Boston College & Xavier Restrepo, WR – Miami
The Raiders are tied for 23rd in sacks this season and could use another edge rusher to pair with All-Pro Maxx Crosby. Tyree Wilson has been a much better run defender than pass rusher this year, and K’Lavon Chaisson has added some pass rush help with his four sacks this season. Donovan Ezeiruaka has a 92nd percentile AI Pass Rush grade.
Vegas got their quarterback in the first round, now they get Xavier Restrepo to pair with Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, and Brock Bowers. The Raiders are currently tied for 25th in yards per pass attempt. Restrepo is in the 87th percentile of our Route Running metric.
Round 4: TreVeyon Henderson, RB – Ohio State
Both Raiders’ top two rushers, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah, are hitting free agency. Vegas is also dead last in rushing yards per game and rushing yards per attempt. TreVeyon Henderson has a 99th percentile AI Rushing grade and could be the answer for the Raiders lowly rushing attack.
Round 5: Zy Alexander, CB – LSU
The Raiders need to add a corner next to Jack Jones, and with Nate Hobbs is hitting free agency, Zy Alexander looks like the perfect day three pick. Alexander has an 88th percentile AI Coverage grade.
Round 6: Keon Sabb, S – Alabama, Kaimon Rucker, ED – UNC & Simeon Barrow Jr, DL – Miami
With starting safeties Marcus Epps and Trevon Moehrig hitting free agency, the Raiders will need to add a safety in the draft. Keon Sabb has an 84th percentile AI Coverage grade. Kaimon Rucker and his 95th percentile AI Pass Rush grade join fellow rookie Donovan Ezeiruaka to bolster the Raiders pass rush. Continuing with the idea of adding the to the pass rush, Simeon Barrow Jr. has a 92nd percentile AI Pass Rush grade. With Adam Butler and John Jenkins hitting free agency, adding an interior defensive lineman is going to be a priority at some point in the draft.
Round 7: Bhayshul Tuten, RB – Virginia Tech
The Raiders double dip with running backs here. Bhayshul Tuten is in the 91st percentile of our Elusiveness metric and should pair nicely with fellow rookie TreVeyon Henderson.
